Mythic Realms returns to Battlers Knob campus June 27–28

PHILIPPI, W.Va. — Mythic Realms, a fantasy arts and culture event hosted by Artefaktual Comics and Games and its affiliated partners, will return to the Battlers Knob campus on June 27–28, 2026, following a strong debut year that drew artists, speakers and attendees from across the region.

The inaugural Mythic Realms event featured a wide range of fantasy artisans and crafters, several of whom traveled long distances to participate, along with speakers and panelists offering discussions and workshops related to art, fantasy and creative practice. Organizers say attendance and community response exceeded expectations.

Planning is underway for an expanded event in 2026. This year’s Mythic Realms will include additional artisan and author vendors, a larger slate of panels and workshops, an expanded art gallery and outdoor programming that takes advantage of the Battlers Knob campus during early summer.

Vendor applications are currently open and are limited to artisans and authors. Organizers said the event does not permit any use of AI-generated art, including on product labeling or merchandise, and is focused on showcasing original, human-made work created by skilled artists.

Details about featured guests, panels and workshops will be announced closer to March 2026.

More information, including vendor applications and updates, is available on the website. Interested individuals can also follow Artefaktual on social media or sign up for the event newsletter.
