We’ve got some HUGE news about the Saturday night Cryptid Masquerade Ball at Mythic Realms—because what’s a masquerade without a killer soundtrack? This year, we’re turning it up to 11 with three incredible bands that are guaranteed to shake the walls of Battlers Knob and possibly summon Mothman himself. 

🎶 Acid Mind Drainage (acidminddrainage.com) From Buckhannon, WV, Acid Mind Drainage brings a heavy dose of psychedelic rock with a gritty, hypnotic edge. If you like your rock with a trippy vibe and some serious distortion, you’re going to love these guys.

🎶 The Long Hunt (listentothelonghunt.com) All the way from Pittsburgh, The Long Hunt specializes in doom-laden instrumental metal with ambient undertones. Their sound is dark, atmospheric, and exactly what you’d expect to hear while wandering through the woods looking for cryptids.

🎶 Horseburner (horseburner.bandcamp.com) From Parkersburg, WV, Horseburner delivers crushing doom metal with a stormy, powerful energy that’s going to hit you right in the chest. Their riffs are huge, and their live presence is even bigger.

We’re beyond excited to have these bands on board—they fit the cryptid aesthetic perfectly. Even if you’re not into fantasy or cryptids (but seriously, why not?), this metal show alone is worth the trip. Philippi isn’t going to know what hit it.
